1. Pemilihan Lahan
Pemilihan lahan yang tepat adalah langkah pertama yang sangat penting dalam budidaya seledri. Tanaman ini membutuhkan tanah yang subur, gembur, dan kaya akan bahan organik. Pastikan lahan yang Anda pilih memiliki kondisi tanah yang ideal, yaitu pH antara 6 hingga 7.

Selain itu, pastikan tanah di sekitar tanaman ditekan dengan lembut setelah penanaman agar bibit tidak mudah bergeser. Pastikan juga untuk memberikan air secukupnya setelah penanaman agar tanah tetap lembab dan bibit dapat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan barunya.
4. Pemeliharaan
Pemeliharaan tanaman seledri meliputi beberapa kegiatan penting untuk memastikan tanaman tumbuh dengan baik dan sehat.
- Penyiraman: Seledri membutuhkan kelembaban yang stabil, jadi pastikan tanah selalu lembab, namun tidak tergenang air. Lakukan penyiraman secara teratur, terutama pada musim kemarau atau saat musim hujan berkurang. Anda bisa menyiram tanaman seledri setiap hari atau dua hari sekali, tergantung kondisi cuaca.

Untuk mengendalikan hama, Anda bisa menggunakan pestisida alami, seperti sabun insektisida atau minyak neem. Cek tanaman secara berkala dan lakukan tindakan pencegahan atau pengendalian jika ditemukan tanda-tanda serangan hama.
5. Pemanenan
Pemanenan seledri dilakukan ketika tanaman sudah cukup besar dan siap untuk dipanen. Umumnya, seledri dapat dipanen setelah 3 hingga 4 bulan dari waktu penanaman, tergantung pada kondisi pertumbuhannya.
Cara memanen seledri cukup sederhana, yaitu dengan memotong tangkai daun seledri yang sudah tumbuh cukup panjang dan tebal. Gunakan pisau tajam atau gunting taman untuk memotong tangkai seledri di bagian bawah. Anda bisa memanen sebagian tangkai dari setiap tanaman untuk memberi ruang agar tanaman tetap tumbuh dan dapat dipanen lebih lanjut.
